Best Books is a 52 page catalog of books recommended by the Brookline Public Schools Department of Libraries and Educational Technology. They wanted a design that would appeal to students in grades K–8 and parents, convey the excitement and benefits of reading, and add visual interest across pages of lists. Black and white sketches and photos were used to save money on printing inside pages. Each new section of grade level books begins with a larger header and different fanciful hot air balloon. Photos of aviators and scientists reference recommended books.
