Stewards of the Future, a new teen outreach program at Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site, aims to “develop teen-relevant experiences that preserve the cultural and historical message of our National Parks.” The Stewards of the Future logo was developed in cooperation with participants in the program. I taught a workshop on logo design, consulted during the process of creating a logo, and then used the chosen logo as a basis for developing the actual logo. Growth, change, connection, exploration, and strength were qualities that participants thought should be represented by their logo. Images below show part of the process.
