Good Neighbors, an education program at Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site, teaches third graders about the field of landscape architecture, and how designed environments can strengthen communities. Branding language created to support an existing logo conveys the richly layered experience offered by the program and the sense of discovery one has when exploring landscapes. It also complements the branding of the National Park Service as shown in the photo of the cover of the teachers guide. Good Neighbors won the Boston Society of Landscape Architects Award of Excellence, and one of its creators was awarded the Freeman Tilden Award for her work on the program.
